The ball of fire breaks the horizon,
Shadows born awake from night-timin’
Birds are singing while eating breakfast,
Nerds are pinging while reading Craigslist.
The thirsty dirt’s drinking drips of dew
Daisys, Lilys, flirting with their bloom.
Insects digest and replenish the soil,
Sex I suggest and play tennis with royal
Rackets back to work as this isn’t a dream,
Nature’s perfection so effortless it seems.
Kids are talking and walking home from school,
Kids are crossing and dying for being a mule.

We stole their land and give flanks from the abused.
The sky is dim with purple and hues,
We retire within belly’s full and no clue
To the magic that occurred all day everyday,
All the static in our world, blinds us in every way.
The darkness wraps us in such a warm blanket
The metatarsus hangs and the alarm clock cranks it
What a wicked way to wake        from a weak death
A worm in the beak as she seeks her nest.
