They suggest that these tools can be used as assistive technology, but they cannot replace the role of a scrum master. They also give an analogy of a grand master chess player using an engine to calculate moves but still requiring human understanding and decision-making abilities. Overall, Todd and Ryan believe that the job of a scrum master is safe from ChatGPT or other similar tools for now.
