very excited for this guest, KANAMAN, fka KANJI KINETIC, a bona fide legend of UK rave music. it's hard to overstate how much this fella has influenced me over the last, jeez 17 years, not just sonically but also his unwavering commitment to evolving as an artist, and never compromising on quality. He has penned hundreds of bangers over the years, dozens of my all time favs, always developing his sound and never sticking with a safe familiar formula. From wonky techno, breakbeat, bassline, to pioneering his own "mutant bass" sound, he's always kept it interesting and fresh.
he was also the first person to give my music a platform, playing some of my early tracks on his SUB.fm show, getting it heard and being a big part of the reason I got booked in the UK which ultimiately lead to me moving over there, altering my the course of my life forever. after a succesful stalking and harassment campaign on my behalf, i'm glad to now call him a good friend.
now with a new moniker and a renewed passion for production, he's been turning his talents to techno and hardgroove. with a 4 track ep already released on bandcamp and plenty more forthcoming bits showcased in this mix, his trademark heavyweight production chops, songwriting attention to detail and ear for a banger are as sharp as ever.
