The Ascension can be considered a Feast of the church that seems to centre on an “unlikely reality”. Whether or not you consider it a historical event, there is something about the ascension and the scene that surrounds it that should provoke us to stop “gazing at the sky”, and get ready to move. In this episode of Between 2 Sundays, Mark B and Mark G talk about the motivating factors that emerge from this week’s readings. (The readings for Seventh Sunday of Easter are: Acts 1:6-14 • Psalm 68:1-10, 32-35 • 1 Peter 4:12-14; 5:6-11 • John 17:1-11)
