Michael Rubin is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. A former Pentagon official with extensive field experience in the Middle East, Rubin has engaged with the Taliban prior to 9/11 and has contributed to military education, teaching U.S. Navy and Marine units about regional conflicts and terrorism. He is the author of several publications, including Dancing with the Devil and Eternal Iran. Rubin earned his PhD and MA in history, and a BS in biology from Yale University.
