Have you ever asked yourself, "Who do I need to BE to reach my goal?”

If you have been joining me in the different places I coach, you will notice that lately, I’ve been repeating the most fundamental tool I teach. It is the concept of BE. DO. HAVE.

In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It episode, I replay my one earlier podcast where I explained the concept of "BE, DO, HAVE.” I explain how this foundational tool reminds you that everything starts with who you are BEING.

You might ask what the hell that means?

Who we are BEING represents our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, intentions, and the energy behind our actions.

Your way of being includes embodying qualities like courage, confidence, presence, and trust,  and it's up to us to CHOOSE who we want to be and how we want to show up in the world.

Start asking yourself, “Who do I need to BE, to reach my goal?” This aligns you with the qualities and mindset that support your desired outcome.

BE. DO. HAVE starts with your way of BEING first. And the great news is - you control your way of BEING. You control your thoughts, your feelings, your beliefs, your intentions and your frequency of energy. Therefore if you control who you are BEING, you can control any outcome!

On this week's Yes Mujer Build It Episode, I was invited to join Dr. Erika Guzman on the Better Than Good Enough Podcast to discuss my journey of shifting away from the typical "successful first-gen Latina" stability and going full-time into transformational coaching.

The Better Than Good Enough Podcast is dedicated to raising consciousness in the Latinx immigrant community through sharing and listening to real stories from Latinx individuals. Each episode contains a topic relevant to immigrant Latines living in the USA.

We discussed my experience with my parents when I told them about quitting my good-paying non-profit job to pursue coaching and entrepreneurship. I also discussed how leaning into transformational work is vital to making the changes you want in your life and how surrounding yourself with like-minded people (shoutout to the amazing supportive spouses and partners) willing to support and learn with you is vital to your success.

Did you know that it is common to experience imposter syndrome, especially in the Latina community? 

Imposter syndrome can keep us from achieving big goals, but we can also feel it when we experience success. It happens when we feel like we don't deserve success or that we have not really earned it. We can feel like a fraud, and find ourselves with tremendous self-doubt. 

In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It! episode, I share my experience with imposter syndrome when I was in disbelief that NASA contacted me to do a workshop for parents during the pandemic. I remember it like it was yesterday. I literally thought the email I received from NASA was a fraudulent email, only to discover it really was from NASA! I share the entire story on this episode. 

What shifted me out of the imposter syndrome and back into the reality that this was a legitimate opportunity, was dropping into my heart. Dropping into your HEART is a powerful tool for conquering Imposter Syndrome. This tool gets us out of our brains and back into our bodies. It shifts the focus from trying to "prove" to ourselves that we Belong, to FEELING like we Belong.  

In this episode - I cover three ways you can practice dropping into your heart:

1. Connecting with your Ancestors, and the love they have for you, like writing them a letter.
2. Picture the face of someone who you unconditionally love.
3. Recalling the last time you felt love, joy, or peace.

When you drop into your heart, you remember the power of who you really are. The answers you are searching for are available to you. You just have to get out of your head and into your heart. Practicing dropping into your heart on a regular basis is a game changer for conquering Imposter Syndrome.

What if we learned how to manage the uncertainty of our lives?

If you are creating something, building a business, or working on a project, you will face uncertainty at some point. Things do not always go as planned. In fact the one thing that is guaranteed in life, is that there will be change.

The challenge is uncertainty can cause us to feel stressed and anxious about the future. 

I see many of my clients experiencing this currently. 

But what if we could look at uncertainty from a different perspective? What if we could learn to manage it in a way that does not create more doubt, but actually leaves us feeling better about the situation. 

In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It! episode, I explain two tools for managing uncertainty. These tools help you shift your perspective on uncertainty, which opens up more possibilities that lead to action in your business and life.  
The first tool for managing uncertainty is asking yourself this powerful question: 

Ask yourself these powerful questions the next time you are feeling uncertain.

• What CAN I control right now?
• What are you always in control of?

There are actually many things you can control. 

The second tool has to do with shifting the way you look at uncertainty. What if instead of uncertainty creating stress and anxiety, you flipped it into looking at it as an adventure?  What if uncertainty means being spontaneous, being more creative, being more curious, the way we are when we are on an adventure?  This one simple shift can open up so much more possibility for you.

• Why you brain likes to focus on uncertainty so much
• How to Focus on what you can control, like your thoughts, feelings and beliefs.

On this week’s Yes Mujer Build It, I was invited to join Xochitl Carmona, host of the Werk Mija Podcast, to talk about how I use action-based coaching to teach clients to manage their brains and create the results they want in life!

Xochitl is the founder of Werk Mija, an apparel & accessories brand for Latinas who unapologetically celebrate their culture through empowering & relatable messages. 

We discussed my experience with the American Dream and my journey into coaching. I also shared the reason why I coach Latinas and my commitment to teaching powerful tools to our community.

I am sure you know by now that your BELIEFS are the programming running your life. 

Having a healthy belief system is crucial for creating the desired results we want to have in our lives.

In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It! episode, I discuss a four-step process for turning a thought into a BELIEF. Beliefs are important because they define how you see yourself and the world around you. The process is called BELIEF WORK, and It starts with stating the desired belief, visualizing and seeing it in your life, feeling it in your body, and finding proof that belief already exists. 

Through this process, you can start to take on Beliefs that will help you create the future you want. You can change your beliefs so that you are 100% in alignment with who you truly are. 

It all starts with practicing BELIEF WORK.
