“Yes, No, Maybe So”
Saying yes to God, even when it’s hard.
Would you betray a friend for a million dollars?
If you could know what other people really thought of you, would you want to know?
Would you take the blame for a major crime to save a best friend’s life?
If you were adopted, would you want to meet your biological parents?
If you could find out how you were going to die, would you want to know?
If you could have certain memories erased, would you do it?
If you found out the world was ending in 30 minutes, do you know what you would do in that half hour?
Have you ever held a monkey?
Matthew 14:28-31
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
1. Saying yes to Jesus, changes everything
2. Saying yes to a backseat role even though we are qualified to drive.
3. Saying yes to overlooking faults and inconsiderate slights.
