Why do we break some (not all) of our promises?

      -Reason 1: We are sinful

      - Reason 2: We are simply not strong or smart enough.

      2 Corinthians 1:20

 

God has promised:

      Salvation from our sin
      To always and only do us good
      To provide all we need
      That we will never be alone
      That he will hear and respond to our prayers
      That he will discipline us because he loves us
      When we suffer, he will sustain us
      He will protect our faith in him
      He will give us the holy spirit
      He will give us eternal life
      And much more

 

3 things that God never promised, but for some reason, we think He did:

      1.Swift justice on earth
      2. A pain free life
      3.Instant change
