Episode 38 is a little healing, a little dating talk, and a whole lot of internet mess.I’m talking about unexpectedly seeing my ex in a social media post—and realizing that my reaction showed me just how far I’ve come. Sometimes you don’t recognize your own healing until life puts the old trigger right in front of you. Then we need to discuss the DMs, because WHY are people so comfortable jumping straight to sex?! One Snapchat message in particular had me wondering what happened to hello, how are you, and basic human conversation. And because the internet never disappoints, we’re getting into confessions from Threads and Reddit. Anonymous people + questionable decisions = exactly the kind of mess we came for.Healing, boundaries, dating, inappropriate DMs, confessions and plenty of opinions… Yes… Another One.
Sometimes the internet gives you a good laugh… and sometimes it accidentally starts a whole conversation.Episode 37 of Yes… Another One Podcast is a little bit of everything. I’m talking about some of the funny and interesting things I saw online this week, sharing a few stories of my own, and getting into some Tonight’s Conversation clips that opened the door to MUCH bigger discussions. When is it time to just leave? Are men helping ruin the dating pool? And are women actually listening when men tell us exactly who they are and what they want? Then we head over to Reddit for a few Am I the Asshole? and Am I Overreacting? situations—including one about losing a friendship that brings up a whole different conversation about relationships, endings, and knowing when to let people go.Basically: internet foolishness, dating conversations, friendship drama, Reddit mess, and me running my mouth. You know… the usual.Same conversations. Same honesty. Yes… Another One.
Okay, your heart is broken… now what?A recent conversation with a friend going through heartbreak made me realize something: after everything I’ve experienced over the last year, I actually have some things to say about getting THROUGH heartbreak. Not getting over it overnight. Not pretending it didn’t hurt. Not immediately finding somebody new. Getting THROUGH it.In this episode, I’m sharing 10 things that genuinely helped me move through heartbreak—from no contact and journaling, to getting rid of emotional reminders, moving my body, leaning on people, rebuilding my life, and eventually accepting the things I may never get answers for. We’re also talking about why a bad day doesn’t mean you’re back at square one, why sometimes you need to turn OFF the sad music and put on a little “fuck that nigga” soundtrack , and what it feels like when you finally realize the heartbreak isn’t running your life anymore.I’m not giving you a 10-step formula for magically getting over somebody. I’m sharing what I did, what I learned, what I probably did wrong along the way, and what actually helped me find myself again.Because heartbreak hurts like hell—but it won’t always hurt the way it hurts today.Let’s talk about it.
The men have been BUSY this week… and unfortunately, not always doing what they’re supposed to be doing. On Episode 35 of Yes… Another One Podcast, I’m running my mouth about deadbeat daddy allegations and conversations surrounding Stevie J, Chingy, and Future. And somehow, people are mad at Ciara because she’s pregnant AGAIN… by Russell Wilson… her HUSBAND. Imagine being mad at a married woman for continuing to have babies with her husband. Chile. Then we get into three Tonight’s Conversations before I head over to the internet streets for a thread asking: “How did you realize he didn’t like you?” And whew… sometimes the signs weren’t signs. They were BILLBOARDS.And finally, we have to talk about Dejounte Love, aka the alleged “San Francisco Swindler,” and the stories from women who say they were tricked out of their money.Deadbeats. Dating. Red flags. Scammers. And a little mess in between. It’s Episode 35. Let’s talk about it.
It’s September 4th, which means it’s Beyoncé’s birthday—and what better time to finally do THE Beyoncé episode? This week on Yes… Another One Podcast, I’m talking all things Beyoncé from the perspective of someone who has been along for the ride for YEARS. I’m answering the questions a casual listener or non-Beyoncé fan might actually want to ask: Why Beyoncé? What makes her different? What album should a new listener start with? What song would I play for somebody who says they don’t understand the hype? And yes… what Beyoncé songs can I personally live without? I’m sharing my favorite Beyoncé album and song, the songs I think deserve more love, my favorite eras, my concert experiences, unpopular opinions, and some of the moments where you really just had to be there. But this episode is also about the memories attached to the music. After all these years, Beyoncé’s catalog has become part of the soundtrack to different versions of my life—and some of those songs hit VERY differently as a grown woman than they did when I first heard them.So whether you’re card-carrying BeyHive, a casual Beyoncé listener, or somebody sitting there thinking, “I mean… she can sing, but I don’t get what y’all be carrying on about,” come on in.Happy Birthday, Beyoncé. Same conversations, same honesty… just with a little extra Beyoncé this week.
Episode 33 gets a little more vulnerable than I expected. This week, I’m talking about desperation—specifically how wanting love, companionship, a relationship, or simply wanting something to work can sometimes cause women to accept things we normally wouldn’t. When does compromise become settling? And how much do we overlook when we’re more focused on having somebody than on whether that somebody is actually right for us?I also open up about something much more personal after sharing a post on Facebook about having my face cut back in 2020. I talk about some of the feelings that experience still brings up and what it was like to put those thoughts out there publicly. And, of course, it wouldn’t be Yes… Another One Podcast without me running my mouth about what I saw on the internet. We get into some Tonight’s Conversation clips, relationship discussions, and a few other things that made me stop, think, and—as usual—have something to say.Desperation, standards, vulnerability, healing, and a little internet mess. You know how we do.Same conversations. Same honesty. Another one.
It started with a simple Facebook question: Why do men waste women’s time? And no—we’re not using “because she allowed it” as the answer. I wanted to know why a man would choose to stay in a relationship when he already knows he doesn’t want the same future, the same commitment, or maybe even the woman standing in front of him.But that conversation quickly turned into something bigger: Why do WE stay when we’ve already been shown something that should have made us leave? In this episode of Yes… Another One Podcast, I get personal about the very first thing that happened in my own relationship that, looking back, should have been my exit. Because sometimes the thing you brush off as a pebble in the beginning doesn’t disappear—it picks up friends. And eventually, those little rocks become BOULDERS that come rolling back to hit you upside the head. We’re talking about wasted time, early warning signs, knowing when to leave, and what happens when you keep accepting things you already know don’t feel right.Plus, I get into some Tonight’s Conversation posts and a few things I saw floating around the internet that fit perfectly into the conversation. This isn’t about beating yourself up for staying. It’s about being able to look back and say: Now I know what I’m not willing to ignore agai
This week, we're getting into the messy, complicated, and sometimes surprising reality of healing.I start with my weekly fitness update before sharing a moment from my own healing journey. Over the weekend, I did something I knew I probably shouldn't have done—and initially, I was mad at myself for doing it. But in a strange turn of events, what I thought might set me back actually left me with an unexpected sense of peace. We're also running our mouths about some relationship conversations I found across Threads, Instagram, and Tonight's Conversation, including a research piece about women becoming exhausted with "man-keeping"—the emotional labor of constantly supporting, managing, and absorbing men's emotions without receiving that same level of care in return. Are women really giving up on dating, or are they simply getting tired of relationships that feel like another job?Plus, I'm reacting to quotes, relationship scenarios, and a few things from these internet streets that had me thinking—and, of course, talking.Because healing isn't always linear, relationships aren't always simple, and sometimes the thing you thought would disturb your peace ends up showing you just how far you've actually come.
This week, I recorded a little later than usual—and without the camera! Sometimes you just have to hit record and let the conversation happen.I start this episode talking about something I've been dealing with lately: the urge to call someone I know I don't need to call. I finally started digging beneath the frustration of “Why do I still want to do this?” and figuring out what that urge is really about. Then I pulled out an old voice note about leaving when your boundaries have been crossed. Because sometimes we know something isn't right, but instead of leaving then, we stay. We give another chance. And another. And another. Before you know it, years have passed—and when you finally do leave, you're not just healing from the ending. You're healing from everything that happened during all the time you stayed. And unfortunately, you can't always rush that part just because you're ready to be DONE.Of course, we couldn't get too deep without getting a little messy. I pulled a few relationship scenarios from around the internet and gave my two cents, and we checked in with Tonight's Conversation, where people came to the mic with relationship situations of their own. We're talking boundaries, attachment, knowing when to leave, the frustration of healing, and those moments when your emotions haven't quite caught up with what you already know logically.Because sometimes knowing better doesn't mean you immediately stop feeling it.
This week, I'm reflecting on my birthday, the lessons that came with it, and some unexpected realizations that reminded me just how much growth can happen without you even noticing.I share how I celebrated my birthday, the moments that made me smile, and why this birthday felt different from the ones before. Sometimes healing isn't loud—it shows up in the peace you feel where there used to be pain.Of course, I also had to run my mouth about a few interesting things I found online. We dive into some internet conversations, hot takes, and the random topics that always seem to get us talking. So grab a snack, get comfortable, and join me for another honest conversation filled with reflection, laughter, and a reminder that progress isn't always obvious... until one day you look back and realize you've come a long way. New episodes every week of Yes... Another One Podcast. If you're enjoying the conversations, don't forget to follow, rate, and share the podcast with someone who might need it.
