Yesterday, Today, and Forever – I AM
Hebrews 13:8 TPT
Jesus, the Anointed One, is always the same—yesterday, today, and forever.
The Greek word for the “same” emphatically states that Jesus Christ is unchangeable!
God never changes, but we do.
God Doesn’t need to change, but we do.
Jesus’ principles work TODAY like they did in the PAST and will continue to work in the FUTURE.
God is faithful in the PAST to show you He will be faithful in the PRESENT, so you will know He will be faithful in the FUTURE.
God never changes.
Your circumstance doesn’t change God. Culture doesn’t change God.Different generations do not change God.
John 8:58 TPT
Jesus said to them, “I give you this eternal truth: I have existed long before Abraham was born, for I AM!”
I AM – Jesus is the eternally present one!

If Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, then all of who He is, is available NOW!
So who does He claim to be?
Jesus makes 7 statements recorded in the book of John stating that I AM…
I AM the Bread of Life!
John 6:30-35 TPT
They replied, “Show us a miracle so we can see it, and then we’ll believe in you. Moses took care of our ancestors who were fed by the miracle of manna every day in the desert, just like the Scripture says, ‘He fed them with bread from heaven.’ What sign will you perform for us?”
“The truth is,” Jesus said, “Moses didn’t give you the bread of heaven. It’s my Father who offers bread that comes as a dramatic sign fromheaven. The bread of God is the One who came out of heaven to give his life to feed the world.”
“Then please, sir, give us this bread every day,” they replied.Jesus said to them, “I am the Bread of Life. Come every day to me and you will never be hungry. Believe in me and you will never be thirsty.
Bread sustains life – Jesus is the sustainer – not natural bread but spiritual. Matt. 4:4 TPT
Exodus 16:4-5 NKJV
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not. And it shall be on the sixth day that they shall prepare what they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”
How many of us eat 1 meal a day?
If believers would eat the Bread of Life as regularly as they ate their natural meals, where would we be with the Lord?
The Bread of Life is for TODAY! (Not just Wednesday and Sunday)
I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. John 14:5-7 TPT
Thomas said to him, “Master, we don’t know where you’re going, so how could we know the way there?”Jesus explained, “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me. To know me is to know my Father too. And from now on you will realize that you have seen him and experienced him.”
How can we know the way?
How can we know the truth?
John 8:32-32 NKJV
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Disciple (true follower) of Jesus
Jesus’ desire is for us to know the Father and experience Him.
You won’t know the truth unless you follow the truth giver.
I AM the Resurrection and the Life.
John 11:21-26 TPT
Martha said to Jesus, “My Lord, if only you had come sooner, my brother wouldn’t have died. But I know that if you were to ask God for anything, he would do it for you.”Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise and live.”
She replied, “Yes, I know he will rise with everyone else on resurrection day.”“Martha,” Jesus said, “You don’t have to wait until then. I am the Resurrection, and I am Life Eternal. Anyone who clings to me in faith, even though he dies, will live forever. And the one who lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
