Welcome to Season 3 of the Yet podcast!
This week on the show - don’t quit your day job!
No, this isn’t me making a joke at your expense after you step off of the karaoke stage.
I am all for taking big risks, pursuing your dream, and building something amazing.
I think the world needs what you have to offer, and the biggest mistake you can make is to not take any action toward your dream job.
But I think for many of us, the temptation is strong - the minute we get that big idea - to quit our jobs and go “all in” on writing, podcasting, and business-building.
In this week’s episode, I share 4 reasons why I think hanging on to that day job (for now) is a really good idea.
Your day job can help fund your dream job
Having a solid day job can decrease pressure and extend the runway
Working a day job allows for valuable connections & networking
It keeps your skills and knowledge sharp setting you up for future success

About T.C. Burr
After years of putting it off, I have started writing my debut novel—a story about friendship, and about growing up. It follows the lives of a group of young men as they navigate the world between two mountainous seasons of life, with all the twists, turns and trials that come with growing up.
Through this podcast, I aim to highlight inspiring stories from fellow writers, entrepreneurs, and creatives, offering encouragement and practical advice for those pursuing their own creative and business ventures.
A dream left on the shelf is one of life's greatest regrets.
Today's a great day to get started.
It's not that you haven't done it, it's just that you haven't done it yet.
