Yet Not What I Will, But What You Will

Listen Later

Here’s an unfortunate reality: we constantly face letdowns in life. Everywhere we look, whether in sports, government, relationships, or even within ourselves, we encounter failure. Jesus is the only exception. He never fails us and always remains faithful. Which is quite something when you consider that throughout his time on earth, Jesus was constantly met with betrayal, denial, abandonment, and rejection. Through this week’s text in Mark 14:32-52, we’re going to see that Jesus did not waver on his way to the cross, despite the failings, deceitfulness, and hostility of those around him.
He went forward so that we could experience and know the greatest of all joys: the gift of salvation. All the while, Jesus also shows us how to live: in surrender and love. Join us on Sunday as we see that Jesus's faithfulness calls each of us to respond. Will we choose him? Will we live in surrender and love? Will we be faithful?
