今天我们学一个很有用的英文常用词--early bird.

"Early bird" 字面意思早起的鸟。有一句很有名的英语谚语：“The early bird catches the worm.” 早起的鸟有虫吃。

这个词常指的是起得很早的人。如果说一个人是“an early bird” 就是说这个人习惯早起。

比如：

“John is an early bird. He usually gets up at 5 o’clock in the morning.”

"约翰每天起得很早。他通常早上5点就起床了。"

Ally: Andy, are you an early bird?

Andy: Me? No I am not! I do not like to get up early.

“Early bird”还表示提前订票或注册可以得到优惠，有时被叫为“早鸟”, 比如“early bird ticket” 是早鸟票，或译为提前预定优惠票。也就是早预定会有优惠。

又比如“early bird registration” (提前注册有优惠)。

“Register before January 15th to take advantage of the Early Bird registration rates.”

“在1月15号之前注册可以享受提前注册优惠价。”
