Psalm 51 - "My sin is always before me." You ever been here? You ever been in a place where your sin stays stuck to you and you just cannot shake those things that are behind?

We read in places like 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." If that is the case then why do I feel like David and feel like my sin is still with me? Why does it feel like it is still in front of me instead of behind me?
