• Bad Examples: The 3 stooges, dumb and dumber, mean girls 

Do it Holy, intentional, and in God's way 

21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.

• Do not wait for people's approval, but God's love and mercy 

• In God's grace, we will grow an understanding of His will, and in sitting in His love, we see what we need to grow and build on. 

• Not indulging in self-righteousness/entitlement 

22 And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering

• Help others who have lost their way

• Be gentle and understanding 

• When preaching the Gospel, be genuine about God's love

23 Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives

• Do not be passive but intentional 

• Protecting you and them 

• Do not adapt the ways of the world in helping others

• Example:

• Struggles:  Alcoholism, pride, greed

• If you have the same issues, learn to send help through someone else, so you do not get tempted as well 

• After acknowledging temptation, find someone to help drag this person out of the fire
