His audacity led to him being fired from his senior role at a global tech firm for defending an H-1B recruit from India. As an immigrant worker living in the USA, Spandow worked for some of the top Silicon Valley start-ups after finding - and losing a fortune aboard the “Celtic tiger” in 1990’s Ireland. Now the head of a nonprofit dog rescue and sanctuary, Ian has dedicated himself to helping animals (and the occasional salesperson), who in return help him stay connected to what matters most.He and his wife Amy now live in Grass Valley California on a 9-acre secure paradise for unwanted or unloved dogs. He funds this by providing training,consulting and keynote talks in the tech industry.
