Creative Director from Boston shoe company, York Athletics. Elizabeth McGarry's Golden Hour.

Boston Sneaker Royalty came by the brand new GDP Studios! Shouts to Elizabeth for coming onto the podcast and describing what York Athletics is doing to differentiate themselves in the city! For those who don't know: York Athletics is a Boston-based sneaker company, started way back by the York Family, and in 2016 they teamed up with Liz' husband, Mark to totally transition the brand. York is now a booming a startup, with 0 Venture Capital backing, and have recently released their most recent "Frank" shoe with Olympian Aly Raisman. Elizabeth serves as creative director for the company, and oversees the entire brand strategy (including their new campaign)! Liz discussed:

• Her beginnings in fashion and working at Paris Fashion Week

• The lessons she worked while working at Nike

• How creatives can gain confidence in pitching their ideas and the importance of being able to sell as a creative

• York being the only brand in the city that is connecting with local creatives

• How York is differentiating themselves against New Balance, Nike, and Reebok in the city

• Running a company with her husband and its' challenges.
