Yosemite: For women traveling independently. My memories are of camping in tents there, sleeping in cars when the campsites were flooded out, and getting engaged in the middle of a snowstorm after hiking for 8 hours.

Ride the buses around the park. All day long if you like. With kids on a rainy day, sometimes that’s a good plan.

Be careful about the squirrels. They ate through my backpack for a sandwich. Right when I was there.
