We’re back on the albums again! Part Fourteen, 170-161.
This week features Ms. Aretha Franklin (again), Oasis, X-Ray Spex and seven other artists to continue this massive undertaking. Hmm, who else could there be? ;)

There are some conflicting feelings that may come to you as you consider these 10 albums. That was definitely my experience.
It left me asking, more than once, the age-old question:
Can you separate the art from the artist?

Production Note:
No cut offs this time! Hooray!!
If you’re still smarting from last week’s album ep getting cut off at the end (like I am), go and listen to this past Monday’s show (Fireside Chat) for an explanation and some related remarks.
I purposely let go of Poetry Time again today; no worries, I always choose one as a part of the structure of the show and I like this one for its symbolism and brevity:

Oh it’s a major endeavor, alright.
I’m going to try to listen to at least 10 albums a week for the rest of the year!
Yeah, I’m not joking.
Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to.
And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews.
Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process)

If we keep up with an episode per week featuring 10 albums each, we’ll just about finish by the end of 2024.
We’re doing this! Yay!! Thrilled you’re along for the ride.
I’ll see you Monday,
