You and Your Prophet

Listen Later

How Should You Relate To Your Prophet
1. Your prophet is the man God has sent to bring you in and out of Egypt
"And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved" (Hosea 12:13 KJV).
2. A prophet can cause the rise and fall of many
"And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against" (Luke 2:34 KJV).
3. Every prophet operates in a different way
4. What do you for with your prophet?
A.Receive him
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me" (John 13:20 KJV).
B.Believe in him
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12 KJV)
C. Honor him

"A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the Lord is contemptible" (Malachi 1:6-7 KJV).
