Speaking in tongues is a vital aspect of our Christian walk. So often we are not sure of God's will and purposes in any given situation. Praying in tongues can give our spirit divine wisdom and understanding because we are not just conversing with ourselves or other people, but with the Holy Spirit of God. Ordinary human understanding is not possible when we speak in unknown spiritual tongues because in reality, in the spirit, we are speaking great mysteries in which God Himself is involved.
