Psalm 68:5, NIV
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.
All of us have been wounded in some way. Life happens. People do us wrong. Even good people sometimes fail to give you what you need. Perhaps the parent who should have been speaking life to you, empowering you, did just the opposite, or perhaps they just were never there. You may have faced rejection, abandonment, and dysfunction in your home. But it doesn't have to stop you. Your heavenly Father has4 a plan for every wounded person to still do great things.
People may have rejected you, but God has accepted you. They may call you a mistake, but He calls you a masterpiece. They may have left you out, but God has brought you in. Don't have a victim mentality. Keep moving forward. People may not have given you what you needed, but the God who breathed life into you, the God who knew you before you were born, He is your Father. He's going to make up for what people can't give.
Father, thank You that You are watching over me, and You know what I didn't get and who wasn't there for me. Thank You that You can heal the wounds of the past and make me into Your masterpiece. I believe that because You are my Father, I can still do great things. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
