I remember the first time the CEO announced at a company meeting that "everyone is replaceable," I cringed. After working 60 hour weeks for months on end, it made me want to quit.
Here's the truth. It costs companies SO much money to backfill positions, pay recruiters, train new employees and wait for employees to get up to speed just to find out if they will actually be a good fit.
You are actually not easily replaceable. Scare tactics don't work on women like us. We see right through that patriarchal bullshit.
Even though you have left corporate behind, this old thinking can creep into your business if you aren't careful. Thoughts like, "the market is saturated" or "why would someone want to work with me when they can work with Susie over there" all stems from this idea that you are replaceable.
There's healing that needs to happen here. In this week's podcast episode, I run you through all the ways you are actually not replaceable at all.
