My friend shared with me what an American idea success is. She had worked with young ladies in Eastern Europe and many of them had no concept of self-worth. No one had told them they were valuable or that they could accomplish anything worthwhile. She was often the first person to ever express that they were valuable and special. This is the lie that we are so often sold. I want to tell you that you are special and you were made with purpose. You have the ability to serve, create, and love as image-bearers of God. Hold onto this truth.
