The Sonship Place

You Are the Encounter People Are Looking For

Listen Later

Believers are not looking for encounters. They are the encounter.

The teaching confronts a deeply embedded instinct in how sons represent Christ: the search for dramatic manifestation, visible signs, and emotional confirmation that the gospel is landing. Drawing from Paul's call to pattern your walk after his and from the declaration that Christ is both the wisdom and the power of God, the argument is made that the finished work does not need theatrical reinforcement. It finishes itself when it is spoken. The one who carries Christ into a room does not need to witness a moment of crisis or conversion to confirm that something happened. They are the word made flesh in that space, the answer to every signpost the person required.

The teaching also moves into spiritual warfare, stripping it of the combative framing many sons were handed. Warfare is not dodging punches from a defeated enemy. It is the renewal of the mind through the proclamation of what Christ has accomplished. Strongholds are not bloodline curses or ancestral ties. From the moment of belief, a son entered the bloodline of Christ, and everything the accuser held against the old life died with it. Seated far above principalities and powers, the believer is not competing. They are declaring.

SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 1:22-24, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, Ephesians 2:6, Colossians 1:27, Romans 12:2
