To say that the outside affects the inside is an understatement.
When we're in an environment that's not healthy, either emotionally not healthy, or mentally not healthy, or even physically not healthy. It's very hard to feel healthy on the inside. Now we know that success comes from the inside out. We know that the magnetism and the strength of your body and the thoughts that you have and the emotions you have, transfer themselves into the work you do.
And so if you're dirty on the inside, you're going to do dirty work. Garbage in means garbage out. And therefore what you surround yourself with becomes more important than most people give credit for.
For example, if you've got a dirty desk, and it's covered in mess, not only mess in terms of papers and things that haven't been finished, but old cups and maybe a lolly wrapper from yesterday, and maybe a newspaper and maybe all these things are surrounding your desk, that chaos is entering your mind and it comes in and has an effect, completely subconscious, mostly. That triggers you to do things that you don't necessarily think you're going to do. So in other words, you do things accidentally.
