Marian Sheridan is building a grassroots coalition to help secure our elections.

Last July, Detroit released a shocking list of election workers for the August 2024 primary. It showed that less than 10% of their hires were Republicans. Even worse, upon closer examination, one-third of those weren’t actually Republicans.

In late August, Marian volunteered to do whatever she could to recruit Republicans to work in Detroit’s precincts and polling locations. She organized volunteers to call and text thousands of potential patriots, then held weekly Zoom meetings to guide them through the application process.

She and her team had to fight with Detroit officials to get Republicans hired. It was one of the most frustrating experiences of her life, but in the end, she successfully got 500 people through the application and hiring process. Now, she’s working to ensure this never happens again.

Starting February 1, she is launching a new recruitment effort with a goal of finding 750 people to work the 2025 primary in Detroit. Having these people in place in 2025 will make the hiring process much easier for 2026.
