Each night after one of our festivals overseas, I had to rush to a TV studio for a live one-hour program, taking calls from viewers all across that nation. Back at the hotel, I just walked into my room when the phone rang. The clerk said someone in the lobby was anxious to talk with me. It was 1:45 a.m.

I went to the lobby to find a rather distinguished-looking gentleman waiting for me. He was visibly shaking. “I watched your program,” he said, “and it hit home to my problems. I began to weep and my teenage daughter said, ‘Dad, why don’t you go and talk to that man on the TV? He might be able to help you.'”

I’ve seldom dealt with such an earnest man. Finally he said, “I want to receive Jesus Christ right now.” He got on his knees there in the lobby and I led him in a prayer of salvation.

Before the end of our final broadcast that week, this man called in. He told me, on the air, “I’ve experienced a complete change. And now my wife wants to talk to you.” She too received Christ into her life, “live” on television.

Let’s never forget the life-transforming power of the Good News of Jesus Christ. It changes lives now, and for eternity. Tell people in your world this good news, and give them an opportunity to experience God’s power in their lives.
