B-C is a melting pot of different cultures and with that comes many traditional sports from around the world that don’t often get mainstream attention here. So if you’re looking for something to do this upcoming long weekend that is cheap, family friendly, and a new experience, check out the Gaelic sports Western Canadian Championships on Saturday and Sunday at the Burnaby Lake Rugby Club.
Adam Moore is the team captain for the Fraser Valley Gaels Men’s Football team. He told us they want to invite Canadians who may not be familiar with traditional Irish sports to watch the competition. Moore talked to our Niki Reitmayer about Gaelic Football and the other sports you’ll see this weekend.
