Rubrics don't make grading easier and they don't help students revise.I spent the first five years of my teaching career writing, revising, and adapting rubrics for all types of assignments and projects. What all that experience taught me was that rubrics actually make grading harder. Rubrics have their place in the classroom but leave them out of the grading process.
