This week, Michelle and co-host Stuart continue their conversation about homeschooling. With an increasing trend in homeschooling, a 21% rise in the UK by 2024, they explore the legal framework, parental responsibilities, and scriptural perspectives supporting home education.
Drawing from their personal experiences, they provide practical advice on curriculum choices, socialization, and overcoming common concerns, pressures and fears. The episode emphasizes the importance of imparting both knowledge and character in home-education.
They share the outcome of the visit they received from the education department of their local council, how home-educated children can take exams, and what their own home-educated children ended up doing in life as adults.
The episode helps people understand not only their right to home-educate, but also their responsibility to ensure their child does receive an education if they are at home, and seeks to encourage people in their homeschooling journey.
