You Can Love Them and Still Say No: A Practical Guide to Boundaries

Listen Later

In this episode, I get real about boundaries—why they’re not walls to push people away but gates that protect your peace, energy, and focus. We explore how negativity spreads, why you can’t rescue someone committed to staying the same, and how to love people without letting your mind become a landfill. I share timeless wisdom—guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23), mind your influences (1 Corinthians 15:33), and speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15)—and show how boundaries are honesty, not anger.

To make this practical, I give you three simple boundary sentences to try this week: the Redirect, the Limit, and the Exit. Pick one, practice it once, and then remind yourself: “I protected my peace without losing my love.” We close with a short prayer for wisdom and gentleness, and a reminder that boundaries are stewardship. Keep your heart soft, your feet moving, and your hope growing from the ground up.
