Jesus is left behind like Kevin from Home Alone. Instead of defeating the local criminals, Jesus’ parents find their son teaching in the temple. Think about this for a moment, Mary and Joseph accidentally leave their son on a family vacation. Mary is obviously upset when she finds her son. I’m certain she said, “Jesus I raised you better than this.” At this moment, I’m thinking, “Did you you raise him better than this?” With little debate, Jesus returns home with his family, and scripture says the Son of God grew in wisdom and tallness. Not tall enough to play center for a Division 1 powerhouse, but tall enough to call Zacchaeus short.
