Trust and forgiveness are not the same thing. Pretending that something bad didn't happen and forgiveness are not the same thing. As followers of Jesus, as people who want to follow Jesus, who have entrusted him with our internal salvation, let us be people that heed the words that he spoke to his followers when he taught them that forgiveness is not optional in the Christian life.
