Instead of focusing on what we want to do in life, we should be focusing on how we want to feel. Our lives can change in an instant and it's not going to be our title, our status, or our accomplishments that matter.
They say that in order to be the person you want to become you have to visualize that you are that person. But in order for me to be her, I needed to go back and find her. To find the old version of Bridget that had that spark, those dreams, those unique gifts and things about myself before anyone else told me who I was. Maybe you need to do that too.
I've been working through some journaling exercises lately and writing down the following and breaking into three different columns so that I can dust off the real me.
Once you've identified those things, work to filter more happiness over into the things that aren't making you happy. If you're going through life thinking that you don't deserve happiness, you'll never feel like you're worthy of receiving it.
And trust me, you deserve happiness!
