People talk. 

They tell stories about something that may have happened, but here is a fact: 

IT'S SECOND-HAND INFORMATION.

It's a retelling of one person's perception.

You may not agree wiht them, but it doesn't necessarily mean they're wrong. 

It's their perception. 

Just like what you interpret from your perception isn't wrong either. 

People may not agree with you, but it's their right to do so just like it's your right to stick to your perception. 

You have to stop taking 2nd hand-accounts from people who may or may not have been there. 

If you weren't present to see something happen, it's best to keep your thoughts to yourself and your mouth shut. 

The other person's perception shouldn't be passed along beyond that point. 

This is how you stop rumors, lies, and untruths from being passed along.
