Leigh and Jackie break down the question: collusion, or survival? They begin by reflecting on the ways femmes are socialized to reflexively apologize for things that don't always warrant amends. Later on, they deconstruct the role of language, culture, colonialism, and immigration in being expected to quiet oneself for others.
