You can do this! Know how I know this? Because I've been broken, I've been beat, I've been bruised. But that didn't stop me and it shouldn't stop you either. Just as I've come back from couch surfing in former friend's homes to having my own place and now I'm able to record and write I can tell you guys this. It does get better.
