The recent selection of a new Catholic Pope provides an opportunity to clarify Biblical truth regarding a number of important topics such as the uniqueness of our one true spiritual Father, the nature of the church and the identity of its Head, the problem of relying on human tradition for religious beliefs and practices, and the significant role of the apostles of Jesus in laying the unalterable foundation of the church.
