Psalms 3, verses 3 and 4, "But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill." I once had a pet that had suffered abuse at the hands of its former owner. Each time I reached out my hand, it would cower and expect the worst. I didn't know what to do so I prayed and God showed me what to do. Turning my hand palm up, I lifted her head every day, until her eyes were looking into mine. You know, she eventually learned that she was in a safe place and there was nothing to be afraid of anymore. The hand of Jesus is tender towards you, my friend, today. If you will, He will lift up your head, and you can look into His face and you'll see nothing but love. It's time to pray.
