There is a crucial missing link in many Christian’s lives between their knowledge of the Gospel and their love and obedience. That gap is our sense of freedom.
“For freedom Christ has set you free.” (Gal 5:1)
This is Paul’s argument. Christ has set us free, yes. But we do not experience that freedom and live like Christ-freed people. Why not? Because we have not reflected on the freeing effects of the Gospel.
“You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)
And so today we examine three small aspects of the Gospel in order to understand their freeing effects.
