God is a jealous God. However, God's jealousy is not like human jealousy, which is selfish and rooted in envy. God demands exclusive devotion and is protective of His relationship with His people. He loves us dearly and knows what is best for us. God created us to worship Him alone. We all need to examine our hearts to see if we are worshipping God and serve Him only.

"And God spoke all these words: "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. "You shall have no other gods before me." ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭20‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬
