It’s so weird to think how I simultaneously used to feel like I had to stand out from the competition, and ALSO used to feel like I needed to copy what other people who were successful were doing. 

😕 To be successful you need to stand out and be different. 

😕 To be successful, copy what other people are doing. 

Like you - I’ve heard both these messages as I grew my business. And I’ve … 

❌ tried copying word for word action for action what someone else does

❌ Tried to be unique by deliberately picking things I didn’t like but stood out

❌ Felt frustrated because there were people copying things I was doing that did work

And all the while, my business struggled. I felt like I was FIGHTING for every inch of success. 

Until one day. Clarity hit. Sometimes my realizations are subtle. Not this one. This realization was like a semi truck hitting me in the face at full speed. It was the realization that none of those things mattered. 

The things I had been focusing on as my “path to success” were really just a tide pool of things I was trapped in. There was no path to success with that perspective - only marinating in the same water for eternity. 🌊
