What are we shutting up?

The "I should stay quiet" that's produced from insecurity or shame and the unhealthy excuses we use to justify our silence.

Show Summary

Jenny shares about a relationship that diminished her voice in her 20s. She didn’t make connections at her dream job because she didn’t find value in her voice. But God did a work in her. And now she helps other women find their voice too.

You should filter what you say through love (Ephesians 4:2). Candace shares a moment with a loved one and felt conviction about the things she could have said.

Brynn from Tennessee calls and reminds us that we have a voice.

Sometimes our voices are hiding behind shame. Shame doesn’t define who we are. It's the opposite of conviction. The Holy Spirit convictions, corrects and leads us into all truth. Conviction is never meant to harm us but to work things out for our good.

Whether it’s in navigating conflict or encouragement with relationships, there is freedom in knowing that we have a voice and should speak up.

The more you understand the message of the Gospel, the stronger your voice can grow. When Jesus becomes the center of your life, you’ll grow in intimacy with Him and find out who you are.

Scripture reminds us that what we say matters. Your words kill, give life and filters into our actions.
