Rui Xu never planned to get into elected office, but the rise of Donald Trump motivated him to jump into the process and run for State Representative in Kansas in 2018 and win. As he discusses in this You Should Run Podcast, Rui won by being the hardest working person in the race and, even as a member of the minority party, he continues to be hard at work forging alliances in the legislature and getting into the details of every bill. Even though his political career is still young, Rui has spent his adult life trying to improve the world.
