“God, for whom and through whom everything was made,

chose to bring many children into glory.” Hebrews 2:10a NLT:

“God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.” Ephesians 1:5 NLT

“love the family of believers”. 1Peter 2:17b

“God has given us this command: Anyone who loves God

must also love their brother and sister.” 1John 4:21

4 Levels of Fellowship:

Level 1: Choosing to belong

“...You are members of God's very own family... and you belong

in God's household with every other Christian.” Ephesians 2:19 LB

“…in Christ we, though many, form one body, and

each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:5

Level 2: learning to share

“All the believers were together and had everything in common.” Acts 2:44

We share our experiences

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

We share our homes (see Acts 2:46)

We share our problems

“Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”

Romans 12:15 NKJV

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Galatians 6:2

Level 3: doing my part
