A few months ago YWH posted a podcast titled "Antichrists in Abundance".  For a reason unknown to us (Patrick & me) that particular podcast performed extremely well.  We decided to revisit the topic and explore why there's an extreme fascination with the antichrist.  

We realize everyone wants to know the future (which is why fortune tellers are in business), but what does God want us to know.  In this episode we dig into some possible motives for the fascination with antichrist, as well as how he really can't compare to the true, eternal Christ.

So now let's shine the light on this present darkness.   

Can you identify demonic activity when you see it?  

Yes sometimes it obvious. Like the version of evil you find in horror movies. It’s paranormal and sensationalized.  However, evil more frequently surfaces in subtle ways like greed, pride, and hardheartedness.  

On this episode of YWH we examine the evil that often get's attributed to Satan, as well as the evil that doesn’t, but should be.  

How can you know?  Only by the Light of God's Word.  So now let's shine that light on this present darkness.   

Without question Satan does his greatest work through false religious systems.  Roman Catholicism is one of those systems.  On this episode of You Who Hear we talk about how God's Revelation has been replaced by the traditions of men in the Roman Catholic Church.  

For those trapped in this false religious system please know there is hope, but you must hear from the true and living God.  He alone is able to deliver you.  He must make Himself known through His word, "not the word of mere men"  (1Thess2:13)

Why is so much hate directed toward Jews?  

No Jews are perfect people who always live above reproach.  Far from it.  But the degree of hate, real murderous hate, has no parallel throughout history.  

So why?

The reason is primarily spiritual and as you'll hear on the is episode of "You Who Hear" can be clearly understood in the context of God's Word.

So now let's shine the light of God's Word on this present darkness.  

Should followers of Jesus expect hatred from the world?  Not hatred for arrogance or egregious sin, but hatred that foments for no other reason than Jesus being followed.  

Many pastors and spiritual leaders contend Christians must be likable above all else, but is God the source of that message?

Jesus set a completely different expectation for His followers.

Should women be fighting in military combat roles?  

As theologian Cornelius Van Til said, "The Bible is authoritative on everything of which it speaks.  Moreover, it speaks of everything."

God speaks to gender and gives men and women defined roles.  The issue comes down to will God define life for us or will we insist on defining it ourselves?

Pause for a moment and think about how much information beckons for your attention and bombards your mind on a daily basis.  Now think about how this is affecting you spiritually.  
Are you a redeemed?  Has Jesus Christ delivered you from the domain of darkness and put you in the domain of His marvelous light.  Our hope is He has.  If Jesus is your Lord & Saviour, then you have a major war to fight.  As we discuss on this episode, one of those battle fronts is for your mind.  What are you giving your attention to?  Endless sources of information are vying for your attention, but they poses a real spiritual threat.  We are in danger of consuming so much information that we stop "hearing" God's word.  Jesus said those who are spiritually deaf, ie those who don't know what He's saying or worse unwilling to respond when they do know, Jesus said these people are under a curse.  Read Matt 13:1-23.  Our prayer is the Word of God will pierce through all deception and nonessential information and cause you to respond in saving faith.
