Some of the best young cooks in the region recently gathered in Potsdam for the North Country Junior Iron Chef competition. It’s a culinary contest that challenges teams to create healthy, local dishes that inspire school meal programs. Students from 18 area school districts chopped, sliced and sauteed their way through the sixth annual event.
