Young, confused and figuring it out

Today society is changing in terms of more people understanding that we have options and it is not always a one-way road. The Covid-19 pandemic has shown us there is flexibility to your way of life, and when one option is not working there is always another way of getting to your endpoint. Today I will discuss with a pharmacy student, how they overcame a bump in their road that caused them to take a different direction in their life. 

Its true words hurt. They stem a branch full of insecurities coming from words of friends, family, and your environment. But to what extent do society, culture, and religion play a role in this. Today's talk with poet, law student, and business owner Asiya garba.

In today's first episode of the second season of young, confused, and figuring it out, we will be focusing on what it's like to have grown up in multiple cultures or come from many different cultures. The confusion of self-identity and having to adjust to different places. No one can figure you out, and the only ones you relate to are those with a similar background to you.

In this final episode of this season, there is a discussion on being black and living in non-black areas and being a minority. It can be uncomfortable dealing with having to live in an area where black people are not commonly seen or there is a lack of diversity. The fear of racial slurs or discrimination is always on your mind as a black person. In today's podcast, we discuss the black lives matter movement and how to move as a society to prevent anti-blackness.
