Social media has been abuzz with disappointment of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s cabinet reshuffling. The concern is that young people are again excluded. But then there are those who argue that young ministers have not really made a meaningful contribution or change since taking office. Are we correct in assuming that young people bring new ideas or is it all about fulfilling the party’s mandate? Also how do we find that balance between young and old at cabinet level?
